Chole Marshell First Curvy Beauty Queen

24 Mar

A beautician trainee has become the first curvy girl candidate to reach the finals for the Miss Englandcompetition.  The 17 year old (size 16) from Guildford has stated “Everybody thinks you have to be a tall, slim blonde and I’m a curvy brunette,” she said. “I want to show it is possible to be beautiful and not a standard size zero. The reaction I’ve had is great. Other girls have told me I have really boosted their confidence, which is terrific,” said Chloe, who is the average size for a British woman.

This is a great start for curvy women all over the world. What I love so much about England is that they are always trendsetters!!!  England has also the first ban models that were too young and too skinny. I would love it if American joins the band wagon. This statement tells young girls out there that they don’t have to be a size 2 to be beautiful. As women we come in all different shapes and sizes. And the size of a women should have nothing to do with her intelligence.

Do you think Miss American should allow plus size women???

She’s cute but be for real, is being a big fat ass girl at 17 at size 16 is not healthy and this just leads to early death, diabetes, slow heart beat, can’t go up the stairs, can’t walk two blocks without gasping for breath and whatever else fat people suffer.

Well, thanks for your opinions oh perfect one. Are you a expect in health issues then? Or just another would be expert who’s swallowed just a little too much hype from the media and a whole load of personal issues to the blog. It wouldn’t be so bad, but you just know that your probably the sort of NYC girl who looks like she’s fallen out the ugly tree in central park and hit each branch on the way down.

Leave you issues at home, petal.

Well, so does Anorexia and Bulimia. Anorexia is basically starving yourself to the point where your body basically digests itself in order to get the necessary nutrients for you to survive. Sever cases can be hospitalized in order to try and prevent them from killing themselves by malnutrition and starvation. Bulimia basically tears apart your throat and esophagus, like acid reflux, and also deprives your body of nutrients, because you binge eat then force yourself to throw it back up.
So, before you start talking about how fat kills, think of how skinny also kills.
Today’s media has us believing that girls are only beautiful when they’re skinny as a rail, and I personally find it disgusting to see girls at ages 12-16 thinking they need to loose weight because you can’t see their ribs. YOUR STILL GROWING! OF COURSE YOU’RE GOING TO GAIN SOME WEIGHT!!!!!
Men actually find women more attractive if they have some weight to them, rather than these girls who look like they’ll break if you touch them.
I think America needs to grow up, stop air-brushing it’s models, and start showing us what real people look like, not these fake twigs.

Yeah but it’s possible to get thin without starving yourself, you know…

i reckon shes better than size zero girl, i like girls that eat food rather than starve – i find her attractive,i think shes beautiful

I love her, she’s such an inspiration. I’m a size four and I see no reason to have to be a zero to qualify as being beautiful. It’s sickening.

She’s beautiful. But at 17 years old, that is when women are at their thinnest. I hope she is able to maintain her size 16 throughout college and adulthood. It gets more and more difficult with each passing year for women – especially after having children and especially after age 30. I look forward to seeing her beautiful, healthy and still a size 16 at age 30+.

Well, being a plus-size woman I can only say: maybe there is a hope for us! But still I was a lot thinner when I was 17…

i hope she goes a long way, im a plus size woman and i disagree with nice girl on 25 march, her comments about fat people were appauling, im a size 22/24 and i bet im more fitter than wot she is, i think if chloe dosnt win miss england she will be moddeling by the end of the year, i hope she does win as maybe it will make people realise that big can also be beaotiful

I see Roxy must have been embarrassed w/the response I left in referal to the photo of her sexy, phat butt in those jeans. Still a great photo and if she were single I’d be hunting for you in a heartbeat!

    I personally think it’s fantastic.
Why should girls inspire to be such a smaller size?
A size 12-16 is a healthy size, and means that they are not prone to anorexia, anemia, and that sort of health complaint!

I say very well done to her, and wish there was more girls like this, instead of the stereotypical skeletons we have walking down the catwalk.

    That’s not curvy…that’s fat.
Be serious, people. A size 16 is NOT healthy. The average size of Americans has gotten larger, and we’ve come to think that this is normal, acceptable, healthy… but that fact remains that it is not, not at all.

    • Olivia May 4, 2009 at 8:22 pm #

      I completely agreee !

But even if it isn’t healthy, would you rather be overweight and happy about who you are, or healthy but still dissatisfied with yourself? I think the message this is sending is much more important than anything else.
I’m 5’6”, 135 pounds, and I’ve considered starving myself to lose that last ten pounds. This is the most inspiring thing I’ve ever seen, knowing that I don’t need to give myself all sorts of crap just because I’m not at a “perfect weight”. People aren’t going to stop trying to be healthier after seeing this, they’re just going to start seeing themselves as beautiful as well.

She is BEAUTIFUL. And as for some peoples comments about her being unhealthy what about female athletes I know the girls at my school that play softball and soccer are healthy and they are sizes 10-16 and their bodies are amazing not fatty at all.

  13. Lee April 25, 2009 at 2:07 pm #

I think shes goregous i much prefer curvy girls size 12-18. Girls shouldnt have to be the “perfect 10” to be beautiful… i think as long as girls with curves eat and exercise well then there isnt a problem.

i think this is so inspiring. what she is doing. it gives alot of curvy people out there more confidince in themselfs and thats good .it raises their spirits to know that here is some one out there thats is curvy who is doing what she wants. she is very confident i belive i think that all the people who left rude comments on here are jut jelouse because they r stick thin and are grose and dont have curvs or any shape so they want to try to break some one down . all the people on here that are trying to break this girl down sayin its unhealthy and that are calling her fat are just stupid because i bet if people got a good look at yuu then they would prolly have some rude comments about you. so yuu should think b4 yuu say i think if they dont or didnt pick her then its there loss nd yuu all kno shes gonna have her time to shine so keep doin what your doin i kno yu will go FAR amd to all the haters on this if yuu dont have anything nice to say about this girl then dont even bother writting

I am 5′ 4″, measurements 41-31-42, and a size 10-12. I am also a weight lifter, a runner, and in the best shape of my life. I do not think it is good to assume that because someone is bigger they are unhealthy. I know that I am healthier than most size zero girls. (Low cholesterol, low blood pressure, great running endurance, strong.) Healthy women have a bit of body fat, too. It makes us feminine and softer than men.
The girl pictured here is gorgeous. She looks healthy and very nice. My husband is one of many men that don’t like the stick girls with no hips or shape at all.
Of course there are real health problems associated with obesity, but I think the girl in the picture is a long way from that.
I think that women who starve and diet and put pressure on themselves to be a size zero are the ones that don’t accept bigger women. I think that they need to validate their own obsession by judging other women who are too “lazy” to have the “high standards” that they painfully maintain.
    Just a thought…..

It’s all about waist to hip ratio – in terms of being healthy. This girl has a defined waist, which means that she’s probably healthy and she is clearly happy so why do we need to negate her happiness?

Also – truly fat people are gender neutral – you can’t tell if they are male or female or what. This girl has a clearly defined silhouette, is well proportioned, and (like i said before) has a definable waist-to-hip ratio. By grecian, medieval, and romantic-era standards – she is a hot mama! This smaller aesthetic is recent (the last 100years-ish).

Everyone has a different aesthetic, but there’s no reason to call rail-thin people ugly, just as there’s no reason to call a size 16 beauty queen ugly. I wouldn’t dismiss you and your accomplishments because you aren’t naturally blonde – so dismiss mine.

You know, Marilyn Monroe was a plus size model. healthy for one, may not be healthy of another. everyone is different. if you have noting nice to say then shut your mouth and go eat something, bc the only people i can see criticizing her are skinny, jealous, self concious brats who have no consideration for anyone elses feelings. im a size 6 and im completely happy with myself. i feel no need to be model skinny. and she has no desire to be a size 0. she is absolutely gorgeous just the way she is. stop being jealous.
