What Goes Around Comes Around

7 Jan

Mary Wilson ( The Supremes) 1967 & Beyonce

One of the first things I learned about fashion, “What goes Around Comes Around.” There are always items in fashion being recycled. That’s why I say ” Don’t throw away any of your trends or classic pieces !” I don’t think my mother would have thought 20 years later high waisted pants would return.  The 80’s look has definitely made it’s come back in 2007.  And those are only a couple of examples. That’s the reason why vintage stores are so popular.

I came across this great article on People’s website and I just had to post it. There are pictures of older Celebes and new Celebes wearing partially the same look.  Look at pictures below.

 Lucille Ball(1947) & Rosario Dawnson

Jacqueline Onasis (1969) & Anne Hathaway

Jane Fonda (1971) & Parker Posey

Olivia Newton John (1976) & Fergie

Sophia Loren(1959) & Mena Suvari

Peggy Lipton (1970) & Tara Reid

Raquel Welch (1965) & Beyonce

Jane Fonda (1981) & Mischa Barton

Veronica Carlson (1962) & Kate Hudson

What fashion pieces do you think should stay around??? What fashion statements should just disappear???

Wow, thank you for the montage that was nice! Your right what goes around comes around. I’ll never throw anything out or give them to people and vintage stores because I got tired wearing it.
