HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL THE READERS OF THE TRENDSETTER!!!    

These fabulous boots are one of my gifts from my wonderful husband. We weren’t suppose to exchange gifts. We were suppose to just focus on our daughter. My surprise when I got everything I wanted. I really needed a pair of leather boots for the Winter. I seen these boots online and it was love at first sight. (Do I say they every time I post a pair of shoes???) I wore them yesterday to a birthday party and they were extremely comfortable. These are hands down my favorite boots right now.

The end of the year is approaching us and I thought it would be appropriate to do the top 10 Trendsetters  of 2007. I never understood why most websites and magazines do it in the middle of the year instead of the end.  I spent a couple of weeks putting this list together and I did a ton of editing. This list consists of the top 10 Celebs that were Trendsetters, broke some rules, and always look fabulous while doing it.  In my opinion fashion is  wearing what you love, what feels good on your skin, and making it look easy when we all know it’s not.   

 1.  ALI LATER  

Ali Later tops my list for best dressed Celeb. She always looks absolutely fabulous from head to toe. Ali’s  hair, makeup, and accessories are always on point. She not afraid of color and being the first. In my opinion she has definitely showed us how to be a fashionista. 

2. BEYONCE

I personally love Beyonce. I think that she’s extremely talented in so many ways. I really love her fashion sense because you can never guess what she will be wearing. Mostly every hue looks great on her. She always has a complete look from head to toe. 

 3. HALLE BERRY 

I honestly believe that Halle’s fashion sense has improved so much this year. She’s been experimenting with colors, shapes, and all kinds of hem lengths.  I give her MOST IMPROVED celeb of 2007. I hope that she can keep it up after the baby.

4. KERRY WASHINGTON  

I simply adore Kerry’s fearlessness when it comes to fashion. She can wear almost anything and make it look good. I just love the way she can change her looks so dramatically in so many different ways.  She’s definitely a fashionista to look out for.  

5. RIHANNA 

When I first started composing my list I almost left Rihanna out. But I remembered all the great things she wore this year. She is another Celeb that isn’t afraid of color and wearing garments that scream, “Here I am!” I believe it all started with the haircut, but that’s just my opinion. 

6. JENNIFER LOPEZ  

 Ms. Lopez made the list because she killed it this year.  I love her pics and dress for draping, to pleats, and belts. Now that she’s expecting twins she just has a glow to her,that makes her appear flawless.

7. KATIE HOLMES 

Katie Holmes has definitely been showing off her fashionista potential this year.  She has worn a ton a popular trends  of ‘07.  After the makeover it seems Katie’s fashion sense moved up a couple of notches.

 8. AMERICA FERRERA 

I could not do this list without adding a curvy trendsetter. In most occasions she knows exactly what fits her body and what looks best on her. I love her choices of fabrications and colors.  

 9. JESSICA ALBA

I went back and fourth on whether I should put Jessica Alba on this list.  When I compared her to other Celebs I noticed that she was more consistent. Alba isn’t afraid of being sexy and conservative at the same time. 

10. THANDIE NEWTON  

I had to give into to Thandie. I’ll be the first to admit that I haven’t always liked some of her selections. But overall she has been flawless. I had to put her on this list because she’s fearless and not afraid to wear something different and unique.

Fashion is about expressing yourself through clothes. But these Celebes took the concept to literal. I know some of you may disagree and believe these Celebes were the best dressed of 2007.

What makes an unattractive creation??? Usually too much too much fabric, too much details, or just too much going on!!! 

You can call it sequined, glitter, sparkles, whatever….. it’s definitely a must have item for the upcoming year.  As a plus size women I don’t see myself running out to buy a dress full of sequin, but I do see myself buying a top.  If I did decided to wear this type of dress I would probably wear it with a pair of jeans to tone down the sequence. Unless the sequin was only in certain areas of the dress like Ali Later and Jessica Simpson. 

With this look very little accessories are needed. All you need is a cute clutch which is optional and a nice pair of shoes.  The dress should say it all. I also like the way the dress looks with dark tights like Jessica Alba. Below are some other Celebes that know how to rock the sequined look.
