Rachel Roy Spring 2008

Rachel Roy runway show took place on September 5, 2007 under the Bryant Park tent. Rachel’s inspiration was weekend trips with her daughters’ to MoMA. Throughout Roy’s collection you can definitely see an influence of art.

She added a certain femininity with an A-line boxy silhouette that went throughout the collection. The was softness added with pleats, ruffles, and puffed sleeves. And wonderful fabrication of jacquard, chiffon, velvet, and silk. Roy said, “Who wants to be girly all the time?” Rachel added mascality with plaid pants, rough chain link belts, and baggy pieces. The popular hues were grey, black, and cream.

How do you feel about Rachel Roy’s Spring Collection???
