Nicole Miller runway show took place on September 5, 2006. As she explained backstage: “After all those big dresses, it’s time to bring things in.” Nicole Miller collection was a breathe of fresh air. I see some trends that will definitely still be around next year. Big slouchy pants, high-waisted pants and skirts with wonderful attention to detail.
Miller intertwined feminine and masculine features beautifully. The popular hues were beige, black, and a yellowish-green. She added a lovely print throughout the collection. The major features of the collection were pleats, cuffs, puffed sleeves, and the sailor look. The fabric used was chiffon, cotton, twill, and denim.
In my opinion her collection was one of the best so far. It was aesthetically appealing to the eye. I loved the way the colors flowed down the runway. Miller has a great eye for details and pleases the soul through fashion.

Ms. Gwen Stefani took over NYC yesterday September 5, 2007. Gwen has been absent from the fashion scene for 2 years taking care of her 15 month old son Kingston.
Gwen stuck with her roots as always adding her own personal style to her collection. The garments reminded me of school girl meets sassy bad ass. The popular fabric throughout the collection was tweed, cotton, silk, and chiffon. The prints that were throughout the collection was plaids, herringbone, all variations of stripes and ofcourse animal prints. The popular hues were green, yellow, gray, pink, blue, white, and black. There were also great accessiores hug bags and booties.
In my opinion, Gwen has definitely up the ante for her as a fashion designer and style icon. I can see her wearing so many of these pieces on the red carpet. She covered all occasions and event. She got down & dirty and did a wonderful job with this collection.
