THE TRENDSETTER

I read that Old Navy was making their Plus Size line exclusive to online customers a couple of months ago. I researched it and at that time, all the stores in my area still provided plus sizes. When I went to Old Navy and purchased a couple of items for the Summer, I was ecstatic to find out that plus size was still available. With that said I didn’t find it necessary to write about it then. To my surprise, I find out that they are still slowly getting rid of their plus size department in NYC.

Today my husband made a visit to Old Navy. He told me that they only had sizes 14 and 18 which were only for tops!!! I became infuriated that there was a low supply of clothing in my size and decided to go on the internet to see if I could find some cute pieces. While on the internet, I clicked on a top to put it into the shopping cart and the site shut off!! and not once but about 5 times. Everytime I tried to purchase something the same thing happens again. This includes Gap and Banana Republic.

Here is where my frustration and anger comes to surface. Now, I can’t find my size in the department store and I can’t even go online to purchase what I want. I feel like being plus size is a curse and a gift. So, many designers and department stores refuse to carry it because they don’t feel we can be fashionable too but it makes absolutely no sense for a store that already has plus size to take it away and only supply it online.

I feel like skinny women have all the luck. Why shouldn’t we have the pleasure of going into a dressing room to try-on our outfits??? Why do we have to order it online and wait to see if we approve of our clothing??? I honestly feel that Old Navy doesn’t has the right to decide where I should shop. There are so many pros of going to the store and trying on the clothes instead of waiting days to get it and going through the whole process of sending it back if you don’t want it. TOTALLY SUCKS!!!

I love these boots for the Fall. I brought a pair last year and I love them. You can do the relax look with a pair of jeans and a sweater. You can dress them up with a skirt and a dressy top.

White is NOT a color that can just be worn in the Summer now. It can be worn throught out the whole year. Eva’s dress is a great example of dress for the Fall with a cardigan and a pair of stockings to keep you warm.
