Saks Shoe Department Recieves Its Own Zip Code
Saks Fifth has finally opened its anticipated shoe department which has been awarded their own zip code. The NEW department was unveiled today Friday, August 17, 2007.
The NEW department was announced in May, that Saks would expand the New York City shoe department by completely redesigning and moving the eighth floor. The NEW space is entitled 10022-SHOE, referring to the floor’s dedicated zip code.
10022-SHOE now holds a place in U.S. history as the first floor to be granted its own designated zip code by the United States Post Office. There will also be a set of limited edition stamps for Saks.
Visitors will be greeted with by rows and rows of shoes. The shoe floor is now doubled compared to the previous shoe department. These customers will also receive beverages as they are trying on shoes. There will be a private shopping area, express elevator, shoe repair and refurbishing services on hand.
Sounds like SHOE HEAVEN I will be making a visit to Saks if it’s the last thing I do. Even if I can’t afford one pair of shoes I just want to inhale and exhale the atmosphere.
