Valentino resort show took place in New York City on June 27, 2007. This was my favorite collection by far, I simply adore the feminine feel of every single garment. These pieces had a reminisces of a “Garden Tea Party”. The major colors were olive, yellow, white, mint green, lavender, and ofcourse Valentino’s signature “red”. The print was a playful floral. The basic fabric choices were lace, cotton, and silk. There were pieces that could of been a wedding dress and even a bridal dress. This resort collection is simply perfection!!!

Marc Jacobs resort show took place on June 29,2007. Marc’s show has a real 70’s vibe with the big floppy hats and silk scarves wrapped around the head. The show had a wide color palette from bright yellow to coral. The fabric choose was mostly demin, chiffon, and silk. The was an aphrodisiac print that was throughout the collection and polka dots. I love the huge clutch bags… do I spy a trend???

Dolce & Gabbana Resort show took place June 26, 2007 . The inspiration was an African resort, there was khakis with a ton of detail and an awesome khakis bubble skirt. I love the details that was given a feminine touch to a masculine fabric. The collection soften up a little more in the middle with gold silk draped skirts and dresses. Then it went back to the feminine/masculine look that Domenico Dolce and Stefeno Gabbana are definitely known for. Ofcourse, there was their signature print “leopard”. The main colors were khakis, brown, white, blue, black, brown and tans. I adore those huge tote bags!!! I love, love, love this resort collection. This is exactly what fashion is ALL about!!!

Giorgio Resort fashion show took place on June 26, 2007. I expected this to be the best resort show when it came to construction, details, and fabric. He did exactly what I was expecting! There were tailored pieces, dresses with beautiful gathers and pleats. There were stripes, navy blue, silver, white, and brown tones. There was such a great variation in garments from evening gowns, suits, dresses, and bathing suits. I hope you enjoy this collection as much as I did.

Diane Von Furstenberg Fashion show took place on June 26, 2007. There were some cute pieces but it really didn’t flow the way it should. It’s all of over the place in my opinion. The main details were a snakeskin pattern slithered across a metallic taffeta frock, exposed zippers became decorative elements on a mini-dress, and studs toughened up a skirt. Tunics, halters, and A-line silhouettes took the place of the designer’s signature wraps.
