Boiy Krazi, opens on Saturday, June 9th - bringing hand printed couture garments, women’s frock coats, metallic bubble dresses, men’s creations, furniture, home accessories and artwork. Boiy Krazi is sure to produce not only a tidal wave of interest among fashionistas but also add an unexpected volcanic eruption to the art and creativity in Spanish Harlem!

A LITTLE BACKGROUND ON THE DESIGNER

Boiy Krazi is the flagship clothing store of JoAnn Berman, an artist and designer with over 20 years of experience and such credits as Italian Vogue, Barney’s and Henri Bendels. No stranger to the urban fashion scene, she also made Puff Daddy his first pair of baggy jeans, outfitted Salt-N-Pepa for tours, geared up Jodeci and designed Heavy D’s famous denim jail suit.

Berman has fused advanced color format with gothic, Latino, Japanese and pop imagery onto hand printed couture garments. The store itself is architectural eye candy, designed by Roberto Ruggieri, a London artist with sculpture and conceptual art background. Berman and Ruggieri’s concept was to mix organic materials and printed imagery on high tech fabric which is classically upholstered by David Lizarraga.
